ACTE has chosen Miami and Copenhagen (pictured) as the host cities for its two global corporate travel conferences in 2014.
The association’s executive director Greeley Koch revealed the locations for both events next year, during the second day of ACTE’s global education conference in Barcelona.
The US event will take place in Miami on April 27-29, 2014, while the European conference will be in Copenhagen on October 19-21, 2014.
Koch added that ACTE would be “focusing on the cost” of next year’s conferences following feedback from members.
“For Miami, there will be a buyer hotel rate for the Intercontinental where we will be holding the conference, while in Copenhagen there will be a rate of €179 for everybody including breakfast and internet,” he said.
Koch said that the association would also be trying to “stay fresh and innovative” with its calendar of events for 2014.
“We are looking at new ways of doing things such as new webinars and virtual conferences where we can get buyers together when they are at their desks,” he added. “We know it’s hard for our members to get away.”
Koch said ACTE would be targeting the Latin American business travel industry for the conference in Miami.
