HEATHROW”S Piccadilly line Underground service will suffer eight weekend closures between August 2005 and March 2006 on the section from Acton Town to Hyde Park Corner and on the parallel District line track starting at Earl”s Court, to enable major engineering work to take place. That is the bad news. The good news is that travellers who hold a valid London Underground Zone 1-6 Travelcard (both season and day tickets), a London Underground Zone 1-6 Oystercard (not PrePay) or a Freedom Pass can travel at no extra charge on the Heathrow Express or the Heathrow Connect service on those days. Children will be free on the Heathrow Express with any valid Tube ticket when accompanied by an adult.
