HEATHROW”S Transport for London's (TfL) new Travel Information Centre (TIC) at central Underground station (T 1,2,3) is now up and running. The centre is open from 0630 to 2200, 364 days of the year. It sells tickets for all London transport and to 16 of London's most popular attractions. Visitors to the centre can also make hotel reservations and use the Internet and bureau de change facilities. Another feature of the TIC is the Instant Messaging System which is free to use. Visitors type in and submit their travel inquiry, which is picked up by a remote TfL operator. The operator responds with information the visitors need to complete their journey as quickly and easily as possible.
