High-speed train operator Thalys has removed its spend thresholds for corporate discounts for the month of October.
The company, which runs services in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Germany, has temporarily removed the €10,000 per year spend threshold that normally applies. It means that companies can now sign up for instant discounts of 10 per cent off Premium fares, 8 per cent off Comfort fares and 5 per cent off Standard fares.
Thalys’ Corporate Fares scheme allows companies to select three itineraries of their choice on which discounts apply and offers travellers flexible access to trains with the ability to cancel and get a full refund until the day after the journey. The scheme also offers travellers access to lounges in Brussels-Midi, Paris-Nord, Rotterdam, Schiphol and Amsterdam.
For corporates spending more than €75,000 per year, the company offers negotiated discounts and account management.
In September, it was reported that the company was planning to merge with Eurostar in 2021.
