Passengers expecting to take the London train to (or from) Stansted Airport over the forthcoming weekends until 25 February should look carefully at their travel plans. Officially called the Stansted Express and nicknamed by regulars as the ”Stansted Slow” the service between London”s Liverpool Street Station and the airport will be substituted by National Express buses due to engineering works taking place between Broxbourne and Bishops Stortford. A single on the Stansted Express costs ”15.50 ($30.40). National Express charges ”10 ($19.60) one way for a similar journey. Journey time is likely to be at least 90 minutes compared to the 45 minutes by train.
All Stansted Express services normally stop at Tottenham Hale, and either Harlow or Bishops Stortford.
