Travel technology company Silverrail has announced a new partnership with French rail operator SNCF via its Portail d’Acces aux Offres (PAO) API. It is the first company of its kind to form a partnership with the operator.
Silverrail says access to PAO will enable sales and after-sales operations on SNCF’s operating carriers, including TGV, Eurostar, Thalys, TGV Lyria and SNCF Italy, among others. Silverrail will now be able to distribute SNCF products through its Silvercore platform to TMCs and OTAs across the world, allowing them to book SNCF tickets.
Pierre Matuchet, senior VP of marketing and information system at Voyages SNCF, said: “Travel agency distribution is very important to SNCF, especially when addressing corporate customers. Agencies can differentiate themselves by innovating on their technological offer, especially online. The good connectivity to our offers is thus fundamental to the quality of their tools.”
Will Phillipson, COO at Silverrail, commented: “By building better and faster connections to European rail content, and allowing our partners like Expedia to distribute SNCF products for the first time, the partnership highlights Silverrail’s dedication to raising the profile of rail and, of course, French tourism.”
