Drivers on East Midlands Trains, which serves three airports as well as trunk routes between London St Pancras and key cities like Liverpool and Nottingham, have announced three days of strikes next month.
Action will take place on August 6,7 and 8, affecting services to Luton, East Midlands and Liverpool airports as well as passengers travelling to the Olympics.
The Stagecoach-owned company said it was disappointed with train drivers’ union Aslef. The two sides are in negotiations over a pensions dispute.
The drivers have already taken six days of action but called off a similar stoppage in June.
