Business Taxis is the name of a new UK-based ground transportation company, which began operating in December 2006 and held its official launch at last week's Business Travel Show in London.
The new company claims to be the first to offer pre-bookable taxi services worldwide, as well as other vehicles to cover any requirements - from chauffeur cars to limousines or even minibuses.
The company was created off the back of leisure transportation company Holiday Taxis, using its global supplier network as a starting point for its own operations.
However Business Taxis sales and marketing director Steve Waller was quick to differentiate between the two companies: ”I must stress that this product has been created exclusively with the corporate clientele in mind, who need and expect a vastly different service from the leisure market.
"Finding the right suppliers, with the right calibre vehicles and the high levels of service we demand is imperative. We have a stringent review policy with all our suppliers: one step out of line and they're out.”
”Another important feature of our service, which doesn't apply to the leisure market, is a central billing system,” he added.
”This benefits everyone as it means the traveller doesn't have to worry about carrying cash and the accounts department doesn't have to follow the paper trail of receipts or be in any doubt about claims forms.”
