National Rail has updated its TrainTracker service. Until now the service was only able to give information on direct trains travelling the same day as the enquiry call was made. Now, however, users can find information on trains up to 90 days in advance, regardless of the amount of rail connections needed to be made.
Based on the National Rail”s online Journey Planner, the new telephone service will also offer alternative routes for journeys affected by delays or engineering works. Requests made from a mobile will even be remembered in the system so users don”t have to enter details again.
For all those who find the voice-activated service irritating there is also the option to use touchtone, and if users would rather talk to a real person they can still call National Rail enquiries on +448457484950.
TrainTracker can be reached on +448712004950.
