Ground transport platform Mobility IQ has added a new “traveller arranger mode”, which is designed to connect the booker and traveller in “real time”.
The Miles Consultancy, which owns Mobility IQ, said that enabling the new mode allowed arrangers to book rides on a desktop with the details then “instantly” appearing in the traveller’s mobile app, including live trip-tracking, vehicle details and rail e-ticket access.
Stuart Donnelly, president of mobility at The Miles Consultancy, called the introduction of the new feature a “transformational shift”.
“Mobility IQ connects the booker and the traveller in real time,” he said. “Bookings made by traveller arrangers flow directly into the app, giving executives all the live trip detail they need without any friction.”
In a statement, the company added that the new travel arranger mode “significantly strengthens duty of care, enabling organisations to ensure their executives are fully supported and visible while on the move”.
The mode is now available across Mobility IQ’s web and mobile applications.
