Major hotel brands including IHG, Marriott, Wyndham Hotels, Hilton Worldwide, Best Western, Melia Hotels, De Vere Venues and Macdonald Hotels and Resorts are among the 48 hotel and serviced apartment providers confirmed to exhibit at the 20th Business Travel Show next month.
This is a 30% increase over the 37 suppliers who exhibited in 2013.
The Business Travel Show said 18 of the exhibiting brands are new for 2014, and Best Western Hotels, Premier Inn and Travelodge will have a significantly increased presence.
Marriott, Wyndham Hotels, Supranational, Rotana, Luxe Worldwide, Malmaison and Hotel du Vin will feature in the newly launched International Hotel Village. And Supranational Hotels will be celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Russell Green, IHG director, corporate sales UK and Ireland, said: “We're delighted to be back at Business Travel Show this year after a fairly lengthy sabbatical.
“The BTS team has been incredibly supportive and provided endless opportunities for us to maximise our presence at the show so we look forward to 'scratching the pad' with new and existing customers.”
Steve Nunan, director London market sales, Marriott Hotels International, said: “After a few years break, we look forward to exhibiting at this year’s Business Travel Show.
“The transient and group segments remain a key focus for Marriott and I have been impressed in the way the show has evolved, in particular the recent introduction and development of a targeted hosted buyer programme of customers from across Europe.”
The Business Travel Show’s event director, David Chapple, said: “Accommodation is the second largest area of interest to our buyers and that’s why it’s so important we are able to provide them with a wide range of supplier options at the show.
“With global and local, luxe and budget suppliers, chains and independents, hotels and serviced apartments, there really is something for every buyer at the show this year.”
BBT is a media partner of The Business Travel Show which takes place on February 4-5 at Earls Court exhibition centre in London.
