TOP SECRET is a railway link from Stansted Airport to Stratford, the nerve centre of the 2012 Olympics. Following our report on the rail link to Liverpool Street (which one gather is nicknamed by regulars ”the Stansted Slow”, rather than Express), it does seem that there is already a direct service from the airport to what is also a Eurostar station, stopping no less than 19 times. Best described as ”intermittent” the service is operated by One Rail and takes one hour four minutes. They do have six years to try and improve what is on offer but in the meantime One Rail is about to take over the East Anglia franchise from WAGN. They have their work cut out.
