HOLIDAY AUTOS has been purchased by online retailer Lastminute.com for up to ”43m. The car rental broker original joint founder Clive Jacobs has-pocketed over ”16m in cash and another ”23.7m in shares. He also becomes vice-chairman of Lastminute.com and says that he will not be putting his feet up. This is an interesting marriage and only time will tell if the longer established Holiday Autos will fit into what is essentially one of the few long term successful ”dot com” companies. http://www.holidayautos.co.uk
