Hertz has opened more than 80 new locations this year as part of its expansion across Europe.
The rental car firm has launched branches in Madrid, Athens, Oslo and Stockholm over the past 12 months “to meet the rising demand for more flexible vehicle hire”.
The openings are part of the company's growth plan to locate Hertz branches near to train stations, at airports and in city centres.
Michel Taride, group president of Hertz International, said: "The nature of travel is changing with people increasingly making impromptu journeys using multiple modes of transport.
"We are adapting by expanding across Europe, giving customers more choices and greater access to vehicles where it is most convenient."
