EUROSTAR is to allow blind and partially sighted people to take their guide dogs with them on train journeys from Waterloo to Paris and Brussels. When booking, all the guide dog owner has to do is specify that they have a guide dog with them and the adjacent seating space (it says in the press release) will be booked for the dog free of charge. The new policy coincides with the official introduction of the new Kent high speed section of the rail link. Last weekend, on test runs, Eurostar trains, broke the record from London to Brussels (1 hour 59 minutes) and London ” Paris (2 hours 18 minutes). Our photo shows work progressing at the 2007 London terminus at St Pancras.
