The Business Travel Association (BTA) and the Focus Travel Partnership have both signed strategic rail partnerships with business travel consultancy Black Box Partnerships.
Black Box – which works across the business travel spectrum – will provide The BTA with key insights on new product developments for domestic rail, advice on how to deal with contemporary rail issues, direction on the needs of the business travel industry from the rail sector and a wide range of other challenges facing the business travel, TMC, travellers and rail communities.
For Focus, Black Box will enhance its current rail programme for member TMCs and their clients.
Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, said: “Rail travel is an essential enabler of business travel, and together with Black Box’s industry knowledge we will be equipped to empower real and positive change within the rail and business travel sectors.”
Raj Sachdave, managing partner at Black Box, said: “Our new relationship will enable us to work in tandem with their team and TMC members, to raise awareness of the importance of both the business travel and rail industries. We hope our partnership will provide our shared industries with the boost they need in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
Abby Penston, CEO of Focus, said, “Domestic rail will be the first travel sector to see significant recovery, so this is a perfect time to engage with Black Box to drive our growth strategy programme.
“Developing relationships with rail-related operators and suppliers, on behalf of our TMC partners and their customers is paramount, and this is whilst there is such a need for recovery of the UK travel market.”
