ROAD TRAFFIC figures published by the Department for Transport showed
that in the first quarter of the year car traffic was virtually
unchanged, light van movements were 8% higher, and that movements by
goods vehicles rose by 3%. Traffic on motorways during January,
February and March increased by a nominal 1%, this figure dependent on
the weather. Clearly the world of the anonymous ”white van” is
increasing at an alarming rate.
