EUROSTAR is again nibbling at the cross Channel business market and has introduced a new range of what it calls flexible off peak fares with no ”stay away” conditions. Prices are ”199 in standard class and ”299 in First Class from both Waterloo and Ashford. Eurostar say that 82% of their trains arrive within 15 minutes of the published time. However passenger volumes have decreased by 6% in the first nine months of the year, from 5.88m to 5.52m. New larger lounges have opened at Wateloo and Gare du Nord, now allowing all First Class ticket holders to use them. Check-In has been reduced for business travellers to 15 minutes.
