Eurostar, the high-speed train operator linking the UK to France and Belgium, has opened public voting for the company's Sales Awards. Winners will be revealed on 25 April, at an as-yet-unannounced London location
Awards will be given to those that have excelled in promoting and selling for the company. There are ten awards, open to a variety of nominees across the travel industry, and anyone can enter via the dedicated awards website.
Categories include:
- Leisure Partners: Most Innovative Off-Line Marketing Promotion
- Corporates: Green Award
- Leisure Groups/Group Tour Operators: Innovation Award
- Business Groups: Achievement Award
- Rail Partners: Outstanding Rail Partner Award
- Corporates: Marketing Activity Award
- Everyone: Eurostar Sales Awards
- International Markets: Best Overseas Campaign
- Eurostar Ambassador at Consultant/Reservations Level (open to all)
- Outstanding Performance at Management Level (open to all)
Judges for the awards include Eurostar CEO Richard Brown, Institute of Travel Management (ITM) executive director Paul Tilstone and Visit London marketing director Martine Ainsworth.
Eurostar director of UK and international sales, Emma Harris, explained the reason for the awards: ”2006 was a fantastic year for Eurostar with a record number of travellers using our services. The Eurostar Sales Awards is our chance to say thank you to those who played a part in this success and recognise the outstanding contribution of some of our key partners.”
