Enterprise has opened its second Glasgow city centre branch in Tradeston, which will offer the company's Car Club 24/7 rental services.
The new branch will also offer a variety of cars and vans, including four Enterprise Car Club vehicles – two vans and two low-emission hybrid cars – which can be rented 24/7, 365 days a year, according to the company.
Located within walking distance of the existing branch on the city’s Oswald Street, the new location is near a subway station, which Enterprise says allows the branch to meet increasing demand for integrated transport solutions in Glasgow.
The new branch has created six jobs for the area, including four graduate positions on Enterprise’s management training programme.
In addition to the four new cars at Tradeston, Enterprise Car Club offers access to a network of 1,100 on-street vehicles in more than 170 destinations across the UK, many of which are located near transport hubs or railway stations as part of Enterprise’s Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) offering.
Diane Mulholland, general manager for Enterprise in Scotland and Northern Ireland, said: “Enterprise now has seven rental branches in the Glasgow area, providing our customers, both individuals and businesses, with the right vehicle exactly when and where they need it. Adding Enterprise Car Club vehicles to the new Tradeston brand extends that service and enables people to access cars or vans at any time of the day or night.
“We’re working hard to ensure people in Scotland and across the UK can get where they need to go with a minimum of fuss. Car clubs and daily rental are an important part of the growing range of MaaS services.”
