Car rental firms Enterprise and National have extended several loyalty benefits that were due to expire in the coming months.
The sister brands, both part of Enterprise Holdings, were among the first travel firms to extend benefits at the start of the pandemic in 2020 and they were further extended in October 2021.
The latest move sees National Car Rental’s Emerald Club members having their free rental days, which had been due to expire on 31 December, rolled over to 4 September 2023.
Members of National’s Emerald Club Executive and Executive Elite schemes whose status was set to end on 28 February 2023 can also have this membership extended by one year to February 2024 if they make at least one qualifying rental by the end of 2022.
Meanwhile, Enterprise has brought back its annual Plus Your Points promotion giving Enterprise Plus members the opportunity to earn double points on qualifying rentals. Plus Your Points is available in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain and Germany until the end of January 2023.
It will also allow Enterprise Plus Silver, Gold and Platinum members, whose status was set to expire on 28 February 2023, to extend their membership.
Liz Ott, vice president of global brand strategy for Enterprise Holdings, said: “These extensions give Emerald Club members flexibility to use their free days through next summer and offer many Emerald Club and Enterprise Plus members an extra year to enjoy the benefits of their elite status.”
