AIRTRACK, the planned new service from Heathrow T5 to Staines with
connections (See ABTN 3 July) could also offer alternative London
routing to the airport if the soon to be redundant Eurostar facilities
at Waterloo were to be made available. There are currently regular
Waterloo trains to Staines which go via Clapham Junction (with
connections to Gatwick). A new route is entirely feasible at nominal
cost. Lounge and security facilities are already in place.
