CMAC Group has acquired UK taxi comparison and booking platform Minicabit to further boost its ground transport operations.
The UK-based company, which specialises in ground transport, accommodation and disruption management, said Minicabit’s white-label aggregation technology is used to enable pre-trip price comparisons from more than 1,000 taxi companies across the UK.
Peter Slater, CEO of CMAC Group, said: “Minicabit adds best-in-class aggregation technology and deep consumer reach to CMAC. Together, we can offer the travel trade something genuinely differentiated — best-value cab comparison at scale, with the reliability and compliance standards our partners expect.
“We’re excited to help partners elevate the door-to-door experience while unlocking new revenue for them.”
CMAC added that the acquisition would also create an opportunity to expand Minicabit’s distribution. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Minicabit founder Amer Hasan, who will continue as the company’s managing director, added: “Joining CMAC Group opens up an entirely new dimension for Minicabit. We've spent over a decade building the platform, the operator network and consumer trust — and now we have the institutional backing, the B2B relationships and the distribution reach to take it to a completely different level.”
