Travel management companies Click Travel, Giles Travel and Portman Travel all picked up two awards each last night at the 2016 Business Travel Awards.
The glittering gala ceremony hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis and held at London’s famous JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, saw Qatar Airways win best long-haul airline and Virgin Trains win best rail operator.
Carlson Wagonlit Travel’s Samantha Simmons picked up the new Rising Star of the Year Award and Alison Webb from Centrica/British Gas won Travel Buyer of the Year.
There were also gongs for SilverDoor, Flybe, AirPlus International and Etihad Airways.
More than 1,200 guests, including many of the industry’s leading figures, attended this key event in the business travel calendar, which this year saw a record number of entries.
