PURPLE PARKING, the private car parking specialists who have operations at most of the UK leading airports, have come up with the idea of purple bus shelters at their Brent Road, Heathrow, parking area. This in fact achieves two goals, one, being very visible and two, providing a refuge in bad weather. However the suggestion by ABTN that the chauffeurs who provide the valet parking service wear purple uniforms in order to be spotted easily has so far not been acted upon. The likelihood is that the suggestion has been poorly received by the drivers!. Purple Parking tells us that their Heathrow business has grown to 10,000 clients a week.
