Car rental firm Budget has announced it will have opened more than 175 locations across Europe by the end of 2014 – with 150 of those in Germany.
The new locations are part of a “strategic growth initiative” that has seen the car rental firm double the number of facilities in Germany, with new locations in Erfurt, Gottingen, Hamburg and Dusseldorf.
In the UK, there are eight new locations including London St. Pancras and Truro. The UK will also have six new retail locations opening from September including Wembley, Yeading, Harlow and Birmingham.
In France, three new locations have been added in Montpellier, Nice and Marseille. A further 20 locations were also added across Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Budget has also invested in Portugal, with 19 stations in 17 locations including Faro, Madeira, Oporto and Lisbon.
“The opening of the new Budget Car Rental locations demonstrates our commitment to better serving value-conscious travellers across Europe,” said Avis Budget Group’s president for EMEA, Larry De Shon.
