Avis Rent a Car has added more than 100 new rental locations over the past nine months, bringing the total number to 220.
The expansion has seen the car rental company open branches in partnership with Holiday Inn hotels and independent hotels in town and city centre locations.
Anthony Ainsworth, Avis’ UK commercial director, said the eventual aim is to have a branch within a few miles of every household in the UK.
“Over 100% growth of Avis’ town and city branches in just nine months is a significant development for the company,” he said, “and puts us another step closer to realising our target.
“Avis is committed to continuing to grow its UK network of downtown branches and expects to open a further 150 locations before the end of this year.”
