Travel technology company Amadeus has made bookings for the London Heathrow Express available on its distribution systems.
Its agents can now make reservations on the high speed rail service between London and Heathrow through the Amadeus Selling Platform.
It is the first air-rail link available on Amadeus.
The technology company said the launch was a key part of its strategy to bring ”all rail services onto a single booking platform for the travel agent.”
It said fares booked through Amadeus would be 10% cheaper than on other channels.
Diane Bouzebiba, Amadeus” head of rail, said: ”This is a significant step forward in our strategy of providing the most complete air and rail content of the industry and streamlining the overall trip experience for the traveller.”
