Canadian carrier Air Transat has partnered with Rentalcars Connect, the B2B ground transportation arm of Booking.com, to offer passengers the ability to hire cars through a white label solution.
By integrating Rentalcars Connect’s booking platform, Air Transat says it can now offer customers competitive rates on vehicle rentals from car hire companies around the world.
Rentalcars Connect is powered by Rentalcars.com and Rideways. It arranges car hire in more than 53,000 locations across 160 countries, as well as pre-booked transfers at more than 850 airports.
The partnership will also allow Air Transat to offer insurance to customers travelling from the province of Quebec.
Through the integration, Air Transat will display a car rental tab on its home page and flight confirmation page that will direct passengers to a white-labelled booking platform.
Rentalcars Connect says the platform has been optimised through thorough testing.
The news comes after Air Transat announced it would launch flights between the UK and six Canadian cities next summer.
