The air-rail distribution and intermodal travel solution
AccesRail has partnered with Italo, Italy's high-speed rail operator, AccesRail
announced Wednesday. The partnership expands route coverage and increases
service frequency, according to the company.
In spring 2026, the partnership will introduce high-speed
rail connections across Italian cities including Rome, Milan, Florence, Naples
and Bologna. Airlines and travel agents will be able to combine air and rail
bookings within a single ticket, including transfers between airports and train
stations, through AccesRail's integrated distribution solution on all major
global distribution systems platforms.
Italo services will be available on AccesRail's airline
carrier code 9B and issued on BSP ticket stock 450, enabling travel agents to
book and ticket high-speed rail segments using their existing GDS workflows and
BSP settlement processes, according to AccesRail. "This ensures ease of
access, streamlined accounting, and seamless integration into standard airline
ticketing environments."
