MEGABUS, the inter-city bus road transport operation, is increasing services between Birmingham and London by 50% as part of a major expansion of the concept across the UK. The number of return runs between Birmingham and London has been boosted from six a day to nine, with services running every two hours and more bargain ”1 fares for customers who book early. Stagecoach, which launched megabus.com two years ago, is also adding six new locations to its growing UK network. New long distance routes joining Lancaster, Preston and Blackpool with London will go live on 28 November. From 5 December megabus.com will also link Norwich, Chesterfield and Wolverhampton with the nation”s capital, bringing the total number of cities in the network to more than 40.
