In the first half of next year, Latam will increase service
between Florida and Brazil with new nonstop routes between Orlando and
Fortaleza and between Miami and Salvador de Bahia, pending regulatory approval.
In addition, the carrier will increase frequency between Miami and both
Fortaleza and Recife. The new routes are part of Latam's buildup of U.S.-Brazil
service, which also includes this year's new Orlando-Rio de Janeiro route and
next year's new
Boston-Sao Paulo route, according to Pablo Chiozza, Latam SVP for the U.S.,
Canada, the Caribbean and Asia. "Business relations, as well as cultural
and leisure travel, between the U.S. and Brazil are top priorities for
Latam," he said.
