On April 19, Jet Airways will begin codesharing
on Virgin Atlantic flights between London Heathrow and nine U.S. airports:
Atlanta, Boston, Washington Dulles, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco Seattle
and both Newark and John F. Kennedy in the New York area. The codeshares build
on an agreement Jet Airways and Virgin Atlantic partner Delta announced
in October. Delta SVP for EMEA and India Nat Pieper said the partnership has
brought "positive growth in passenger numbers" to Jet Airways. Virgin
Atlantic has codeshared on Jet Airways service between Heathrow and Mumbai
since 2009 and in 2015 expanded the codesharing to domestic service from both
Mumbai and New Delhi.
