InterContinental Hotels Group will merge two of
its operating regions in 2018 to form a new one: Europe, Middle East, Asia
& Africa. IHG CEO of Greater China Kenneth Macpherson will become EMEAA CEO.
Jolyon Bulley will step in to replace Macpherson. They will assume their new
roles at the start of 2018. Meanwhile, Europe CEO Angela Brav and Asia, Middle
East and Africa CEO Jan Smits will leave IHG. Keith Barr, who became IHG CEO on
July 1, said Macpherson's experience overseeing the company's fastest-growing
region during the past four years makes him a natural fit to lead the diverse EMEAA
region.
