Flight Centre Travel Group, which owns travel
management company FCM, expects to close its acquisition of a 25 percent stake
in 3mundi in July. 3mundi has operated fully under the FCM name since 2016.
Its corporate travel business operates in France and Switzerland. The
Australia-based Flight Centre owns equity in travel agencies in the U.K.,
Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. 3mundi also runs
a technology development lab in Barcelona, a city that a Flight Centre
spokesperson described as a center for talent, travel technology and mobile
capabilities. Flight Centre made another technology play in April when it acquired
a similar sized stake in Argentinian travel agency BibAm, which owns
e-commerce platform Avantrip.
