Etihad Airways has introduced a cheaper "Deal Fare" for passengers without checked luggage on some of its shorter flights. The fare limits complimentary baggage to one carry-on weighing seven kilograms and was designed so "guests traveling for business, weekend getaways or day trips who like to travel light can now avail cheaper fares," according to Etihad chief commercial officer Robin Kamark. Elite members of the Etihad Guest program are allowed some complimentary checked luggage with the fare: 10 kilograms for Silver members, 15 kilograms for Gold members and 20 kilograms for Platinum members. Etihad is selling the fare on flights among Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
