Carlson Wagonlit Travel has expanded mobile air booking capability
on its myCWT app to 20 markets, including the US, the U.K., Canada, France, Germany,
Switzerland, Austria,
Italy, Australia, Poland, Brazil, Denmark, Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain,
Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Travelers
can now book flights from preferred airlines, GDSs and low-cost carriers at their
corporate negotiated rates. The capability has a "best time to book"
indicator, which alerts travelers when prices are expected to increase, and
recommends an optimal booking window. It also has a 24-hour search function
that provides travelers with attractive options outside their specified booking
window. The capability
was originally piloted in early 2017 and launched commercially in the second
quarter of 2018.
