On April 29, Austrian Airlines will begin daily service between Vienna and Montreal as part of new services planned for the summer. In addition, the carrier will boost its service to Tokyo, Los Angeles and the New York area's Newark and John F. Kennedy airports to a daily frequency. Austrian also is increasing frequencies from Vienna to several European destinations including:
- Adding 11 flights per week to Hamburg, two to Dusseldorf, one to Stuttgart and one to Berlin-Tegel
- Two additional weekly flights to Belgrade, Serbia, for a total of 20 per week
- One additional weekly flight to Skopje, Macedonia, for a total of 14 per week
