Airberlin will expand service between the United States and German hubs Berlin and Dusseldorf in November. New service includes a daily flight between New York and Berlin, as well as changing the carrier's five weekly flights between Los Angeles and Dusseldorf from seasonal to year-round service. Additionally, Airberlin is increasing service on several existing routes, including:
- Two new weekly flights between Miami and Berlin, for a total of four
- One new weekly flight between New York and Dusseldorf, for a total of eight
- One flight between Chicago and Berlin, for a total of five weekly flights
- One flight between Fort Myers, Fla., and Dusseldorf, for a total of four weekly flights
