BIGGEST INNOVATION OF 2025
The company has made major customer-facing investments in technology to modernise the booking experience and improve speed, clarity and confidence for bookers. The most significant was a complete ground-up rewrite of the booking platform, delivered by a dedicated cross-functional team spanning UX design, software development and business analysis, with the new platform fully launched in December 2025.
For air, the company redesigned the flight search experience to make booking faster, clearer and more intuitive. The new pages are WCAG 2.2 compliant, improving accessibility, and include flexible date search, enhanced filters, clearer display of flight options, richer ticket and flight detail, and new tags such as lowest emissions and Fly America Act compliant. The company also strengthened sustainability information by displaying CO2 data at both ticket and flight level using more sophisticated IATA-based calculations.
The company also rebuilt its hotel platform from the data layer up. New direct integrations with our hotel suppliers, combined with specialist data mapping, have transformed both content quality and usability. Hotel inventory grew from 900,000 to more than 1.2 million properties worldwide, and deduplication accuracy now exceeds 98%. Subsequently, volumes have quadrupled, and response times have reduced to around one third of previous levels.
New features include high-resolution imagery, harmonised amenity filters, full-page map search, prioritised negotiated rates, preferred hotel targeting for duty of care, and carbon-neutral hotel rooms across around 70% of inventory.
