Low-cost carrier easyJet is offering 'flexi fare' travellers free access to its Gateway Lounge at Gatwick airport from September to November.
The three-month trial, from 1 September to 30 November, will allow travellers with a ‘flexi fare’ ticket up to three hours' access to the lounge (pictured), which includes work spaces, entertainment areas and a food and drink buffet.
The Gateway Lounge, the carrier's first, opened last summer in collaboration with No1 Lounges in the North Terminal of London Gatwick airport, where easyJet is the largest airline.
The carrier's flexi fare is a bundled fare that includes cabin and checked baggage, fast track security and boarding, free flight and route changes and an ‘Eat.Drink.Shop’ voucher.
During the trial period, all flexi ticket holders will automatically receive lounge access, including those who have already booked flights between these dates. Remaining easyJet customers can still purchase access to the lounge, with packages starting from £18.99.
EasyJet UK country manager, Ali Gayward, said: “We are always looking for new ways to offer travellers more choice and great value, so we're delighted to have launched this trial… The Gateway Lounge offers all the essentials to make work a breeze, or somewhere for the whole family to relax and unwind before jetting off.”
