Latvian airline airBaltic has introduced a new ‘Business Light’ ticket option, which offers the ‘full onboard business class experience’ for an 'affordable' price, the carrier announced on Friday.
airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss said the new ticket type will “increase our competitiveness in the European aviation market” and expects the option will be popular among leisure travellers.
A Business Light ticket includes a three-course meal and extra baggage allowance, access to the airport business lounge, priority check-in and fast track passage through security at Riga airport.
However, unlike a traditional business class ticket, refunds are not offered in the case of cancellation and changes to the booking – including passenger name, flight date and time – come at an additional cost.
