WEST AFRICAN AIRWAYS, operating on behalf of Sierra National Airlines (SNA), is considering the introduction of a third weekly flight from Gatwick to Freetown, Sierra Leone and Banjul, Gambia, following the suspension of the Redair service.
Using a Monarch Airlines Boeing 757, kitted out with 24 seats business class (44 inch pitch) and 162 economy (32 inch) the airline currently routes LGW ” FNA ” BJL on a Monday with the return direct from Banjul.
A Friday flight goes to Banjul first.
The UK government has re-negotiated the air service agreement with Sierra Leone, lifting many of the restrictions and giving British airlines a fifth freedom right in the west African country.
