VIRGIN ATLANTIC says that it has told the British government that it is ready to resume scheduled flights to Baghdad as soon as it is given the go-ahead. In 1990 Virgin Atlantic operated a number of aid flights and the only hostage release flight from the Iraq capital during the first Gulf conflict. Initially the flights would be of an humanitarian nature delivering doctors, nurses and medical supplies but the airline sees itself in helping with the post war re-construction of the country. http://www.virgin.com
