VIRGIN BLUE, the Australian outlet of the Virgin airline empire, and one of its most successful ventures, has launched the ”Blue Room” aimed at challenging the traditional airport corporate lounge concept and offering Virgin Blue guests the option to work on the run, chill out or tune in before or after their flight
Whilst it offers a modern, high-tech and business friendly facility to travellers, it will also be open to children who have their own amenities.
Newspapers and work stations come free but users will have to pay for their own drinks and refreshments.
The current charge is A$5 and clearly if it catches on operators elsewhere might copy or modify the scheme.
