Virgin Atlantic has confirmed that its new London Heathrow-Seoul route will launch in spring 2026.
The UK carrier will operate a daily flight on the route from 29 March, using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft fitted with economy, premium economy and Upper Class cabins.
Virgin Atlantic is launching the long-awaited route after gaining slots at Heathrow following the merger of Korean Air and Asiana in late 2024.
The launch of the Seoul route continues Virgin’s expansion of services outside its traditional transatlantic market. The airline has recently added flights from London to Riyadh, Dubai and the Maldives, as well as launching flights next year from London to Phuket in Thailand.
Juha Jaervinen, chief commercial officer at Virgin Atlantic, added: “Thanks to our collaboration with SkyTeam partners including Korean Air, travellers can easily connect onwards across South Korea and beyond, all while enjoying the premium service which Virgin Atlantic is renowned for.”
