BMI REGIONAL is to upgrade its weekend, summer only, Edinburgh to Jersey to a full daily operation after becoming one of the first airlines to receive funding from a Scottish Executive initiative to encourage the introduction of new direct routes. During the peak of the summer the operation goes up to three return flights on a Saturday using 49-seat EMB 145 jets for all sectors in a two class cabin.
