United Airlines has opened a new Polaris Lounge at Los Angeles International airport for passengers travelling in the airline’s business class.
The lounge builds on the new Polaris experience, featuring works by local artists and a food and beverage programme inspired by Los Angeles.
It is located in Terminal 7 between gates 73 and 75A and is part of United’s US$573 million renovation of the terminal building.
The Polaris lounge offers more than 12,000 square feet of space, with 140 seats in different areas designed for productivity, privacy and dining. There are a total of 272 power outlets and 120 USB ports, as well as shower suites, private daybeds (pictured below) fitted with Saks Fifth Avenue bedding and restaurant-quality dining at The Dining Room. In addition, the bar serves a selection of bespoke cocktails themed around Los Angeles.
This is United’s fifth Polaris lounge to open, joining Chicago O’Hare, George Bush Intercontinental in Houston, New Liberty International and San Francisco airports.
