UNITED STATES: There could be a legal war in the air in the US following the Justice and Transportation Departments somewhat restrictive approval of a joint marketing agreement between Delta, Northwest and Continental airlines. The carriers do not appear to be happy with what the agencies have to say and have issued a strong statement saying that they will go ahead with a marketing alliance regardless and will ignore government restrictions designed to encourage competition. Mr Bush has a battle on the home front too.
