Swiss is adding a new flight between Zurich and Bristol in the UK as part of its winter 2022/23 schedule.
The Lufthansa Group-owned carrier said it would offer 93 destinations from its hubs of Zurich and Geneva this winter, with overall capacity reaching 80 per cent of the airline’s 2019 levels.
Swiss’ Zurich-Bristol service will launch from 4 February 2023 with one flight per week. The carrier will also continue operating newly introduced summer 2022 flights from Zurich to Bologna, Nantes, Sofia and Vilnius into the winter season.
Extra frequencies will be added from Zurich to short-haul destinations including Belgrade, Porto, Alicante, Barcelona and Malaga. Long-haul services to Asian cities such as Bangkok, Singapore, Delhi and Mumbai will also be increased next winter.
Swiss will serve 25 European destinations from Geneva in the winter, including more flights to the Scandinavian cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Copenhagen. The new summer service to Brussels will also continue this winter in collaboration with sister carrier Brussels Airlines.
Chief commercial officer Tamur Goudarzi Pour said the airline was focused on “further stabilising” services for the winter.
“In Europe, in particular, we’re providing an attractive choice of destinations for the colder season,” added Pour. “At the same time, though, we’ve been conservative in our planning and have reduced our flight programme by a number of frequencies, to ensure that we can keep our schedules as stable as possible.”
The airline’s forthcoming winter timetable runs from 30 October to 26 March 2023.
